Personal details: Name, Date of Birth, Driving Licence number, any health issues, driving convictions or other important information that may affect your ability or suitability to drive.

Contact details: Telephone number, Email address.

Other details: Home address (including postcode), other pick up/drop off addresses, individual preferences for driving lessons etc.

We also keep a record that you have read and signed to agree to our terms and conditions, if you are under the age of 18, we will ask that a parent/legal guardian reads and signs on your behalf.

We often ask if you’d be happy for us to share a photo of you with your certificate when you pass your driving test on our social media pages. It’s completely your choice if you give consent for this, we will ask you at the time and get your verbal consent before posting anything.

What we do with the information we gather:

This information is gathered so that we can provide the best service possible and cater your driving lessons to your individual needs. We keep the information so that we can refer to it whilst planning/delivering the services we provide to you.

We will contact you by telephone, text message or email to make arrangements for your driving lessons. We may also need to contact you if we need to discuss/inform you of anything that may affect your lessons or for various other reasons such as to discuss payments or bookings. We will send notes from your lessons and useful handouts to you via email.

How we will keep this information safe and secure:

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. Your details will not be sold, leased or distributed to other parties without your permission or unless we are required to do so by law.

We will save your details on a password protected iPad and ensure we keep this device safe and take precautions to prevent the device from theft or unauthorised access.

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information, please inform us of this when we ask you for the information. Unfortunately due to the nature of our service, restricting some information may prevent us from providing a service to you e.g. we cannot go ahead with lessons if we do not have valid driving license details.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you may request details of personal information which we hold about you at any time and we will not charge for this. Please make a request by email to your instructor and allow 7 working days for us to respond to your request. If the details we hold about you are incorrect, let us know as soon as you can and they will be rectified immediately.
